Excellence and Quality

Dolly Parton Imagination Library is a free program sponsored by the United Way and the EmBe of Mitchell. The program provides free books to children ages birth to 5 years of age. It encourages children and parents to read together preparing them for school. See our programs page for information.

The YWCA Mitchell Board of Directors is casting a new vision to better serve the Mitchell area community by merging together with Sioux Falls based nonprofit, EmBe. 


The YWCA of Mitchell has served the community for 97 years, and together with EmBe, has a vision for serving women and families in the community for many more years to come.    

The EmBe mission of is empowering women and families to enrich lives.
